Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-07-10
These terms explain the basic rules between the operator of manage-env (the “Service”) and you. Creating an account records your acceptance of these terms.
1. What the Service provides
The Service helps you encrypt environment variables on your device, store and sync the encrypted data, and pass values to processes through the CLI and local MCP tools without returning those values to screens or AI conversations.
The individual plan is currently free. Team sharing and paid features remain unavailable until separately launched. Before enabling a paid feature, we will clearly show its price, billing period, and refund terms.
2. Accounts and security
You must use an email account you control and protect your password, recovery key, and two-factor authentication methods. Tell us promptly if you notice suspicious account activity.
The Service does not keep your plaintext password or recovery key. If you lose both, the operator cannot recover your encrypted data.
3. Your data
You must have the rights required to store and sync the environment variables and destinations you connect. Do not use the Service to store or transmit data in violation of law or another service’s terms.
We process encrypted data and the metadata needed to provide the Service. You retain ownership of your data.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- Access another person’s account or system without permission
- Distribute malware, disrupt the Service, bypass request limits, or exploit vulnerabilities
- Store or transmit unlawful material or material that infringes another person’s rights
- Intentionally weaken the Service’s security boundaries or extract secret values into AI conversations, logs, or public repositories
5. Changes and interruptions
We may change or temporarily interrupt features to improve security, comply with law, or respond to incidents. Where practical, we will give advance notice of material changes or extended interruptions in the Service or by email.
We work to provide reasonable reliability and security, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or that data loss is impossible in every environment. Keep important source material and recovery methods safely backed up.
6. Restrictions and termination
You may request account deletion at any time. We may restrict an account or feature where necessary because of prohibited use, a security threat, or a legal requirement. Unless an urgent security reason prevents it, we will explain the reason and available next steps.
After account termination, we delete personal information and Service data under the Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, web interface, documentation, and distributed software belong to the operator or their respective rights holders. Source code and repositories are not open source unless an explicit public license says otherwise.
These terms give you permission to use the Service normally; they do not transfer ownership or redistribution rights.
8. Liability and governing law
The operator’s liability is determined to the extent permitted by the mandatory laws of the Republic of Korea. These terms do not limit rights that applicable consumer law guarantees to you.
The laws of the Republic of Korea govern these terms, and courts have jurisdiction as provided by applicable law. Questions about these terms may be sent to support@manage-env.com.
